From the first WhatsApp message to the drop-off at the end of the day, everything was taken care of. Our guide knew the forest inside out. He read tracks and alarm calls like a book, and made sure we watched quietly and from a respectful distance. Nothing felt rushed, and I came home with a completely new way of looking at the jungle.
I have been on safaris before, but this felt different. The team was warm, punctual and genuinely passionate about wildlife, and they explained everything along the way: the birds, the trees, the small signs most of us would walk straight past. Planning was easy and the whole day ran smoothly. I would recommend Highlander Expeditions to anyone who wants to experience the wild properly.
Both have their own character. Morning safaris offer cooler temperatures, fresh animal activity and beautiful early-morning light. Evening safaris bring softer light, changing forest moods and the possibility of witnessing wildlife becoming active towards dusk.
If your schedule allows, experiencing both gives you two very different sides of the forest.
Safari bookings are made in advance and are subject to permit and vehicle availability. Once you share your preferred date, safari zone and number of guests, our team will guide you through the booking process and confirm the available safari slot. Start a booking request.
Our safari Gypsy is generally suitable for up to 6 guests, along with the driver and naturalist/guide, subject to the rules of the particular forest reserve. For a more comfortable and immersive experience, smaller groups can also be arranged where permitted.
Yes. Safaris can be a wonderful experience for children, especially for young nature and wildlife enthusiasts. We encourage parents to prepare children for quiet observation, patience and following forest guidelines. Children should always remain seated and follow the instructions of the guide and driver.
Carry binoculars, a camera, water, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat/cap. Wear comfortable, neutral-coloured clothing and closed shoes. Depending on the season, a light jacket or rain protection.
Most importantly, carry patience and curiosity—the forest decides what you get to see.
